Let’s Enjoy Japanese Culture | MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO

MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO, located in front of the castle tower, is a complex built by renewing the former military headquarters of the 4th Division of the Imperial Japanese Army. It was opened on October 19, 2017.

MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO is an impressive building, which looks like a European castle in the Middle Ages. The way it looks has not changed since its construction.

Inside The Building

There are luxurious ornaments inside, including a red carpet on the floor and gorgeous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and colorful stained glass in the wall.

For Souvenirs and Experience

The specialty stores line on the first floor, selling products related to Samurai, Ninja, and the Sengoku period. You can buy souvenirs and also experience throwing shuriken, which is a weapon used by Ninja at the stores.

There are restaurants on the second, third, and roof floors, and it’s called THE LANDMARK SQUARE based on the concept of “be a landmark of a cosmopolitan city resonating with the cool Japan vibe that the world loves.”

Currently, they are working on allowing visitors to spend the whole day at Osaka Castle Park by not only visiting the castle tower, but also through eating and drinking and various events.

Night Viewing

The Konamon Bar RIKYU

You can eat octopus dumplings, called Takoyaki, at The Konamon Bar RIKYU on the first floor. Takoyaki, a flour-based food with a piece of octopus inside, is Osaka’s iconic local food.

Takoyaki is served in plain condition in this shop. If you want to enjoy the original taste, you can eat it without any sauce nor toppings.

Otherwise, you can put some sauce on it, such as Takoyaki Sauce, Soy Sauce, Ponzu Sauce, and Curry Sauce, to suit your taste.
